Back in photography school I picked up my first 35mm analogue camera, I instantly fell in love with the medium. I've been shooting film for about two years now. I bought my first medium format camera last year, a Mamiya m645. Last May I went on a trip to the mountains with my boyfriend Trent. I was super excited to try out the camera on the trip. I shot most of the photos there on film. Risky move. Luckily, they turned out amazing. I didn't get to see any of the photos for about a week. I got it developed and scanned it myself. Definitely worth it.
Films used: Ektar 100, TMAX 100, Velvia 50 and Pro 400H
On our first full day in Banff, we got up at 4 am to see the sunrise over Vermillion Lakes. Trent proposed to me right after I took the top photo. It was an incredible experience. This photo will always remind me of that moment.
